I began powerlifting in 2015 and have been both competing and coaching since 2020. What started as a personal hobby has evolved into a full-time career and lifelong passion. My goal as a coach is to pass on the knowledge and experience I’ve gained over the years to help you accelerate your progress and avoid common setbacks.

I’ve developed structured systems specifically designed to support both beginner and intermediate (early to late stage) athletes. These systems focus on building strength and refining technique in the most effective and sustainable way possible. My systems have brought athletes from the local level to the national level in the CPU/IPF.

What truly fuels my passion for powerlifting is the unique community it brings together—one that’s both supportive and driven. There’s a rare mix of grit, intensity, and genuine camaraderie that makes the sport so special. In addition to helping you reach new levels of strength, one of my biggest goals is to help you feel connected to and welcomed by this incredible community.

“I have been lifting since 2018 and I started with Ray as my coach in March of 2023 and that was by far the best decision I have ever made. Not only did all my lifts increase to a level that I didn’t think was possible, my entire outlook towards training has changed. Even with my hectic work schedule Ray adapted my training to ensure I maximize my time in the gym. When I started with Ray my lifts on squat, bench and deadlift were 184kg, 132kg, and 227kg respectively. As of today my lifts on squat, bench and deadlift are 215kg, 140kg, and 260kg respectively. He goes above and beyond for his clients with weekly check ins, setting nutrition targets, monitoring recovery and form checks for any movements. Ray is an excellent coach and a standout person - I can’t recommend him enough if anyone is looking for a coach/trainer."
